CA-NEU Baxter Fire: Vegetation Fire West of Auburn, Substantial structure threat #CAFireGrass Valley ECC advised Baxter IC of drones over the fire area.

EVACUATIONS

Update 7-23-15 1200: 30 acres, 80% contained.(Rekindle?)
Update 7-22-15 2000: 100% Contained at 26 acres.
Update 7-22-15 1930: Grass Valley ECC advised Baxter IC of drones over the fire area.
Grass Valley base notified AA230 that a Drone was sighted over the incident at an elevation of 500 to 1000 ft. Released T84, 89 & 88 are at GV base on load and hold. Keeping the copters working. LE is now doing an active search for the pilot of the drone.
Update 7-22-15 1900: 35-40 acres, Fire has slowed but still poses a substantial structure threat, per Air Attack.
Update 7-22-15 1830: 30 acres, 0%.10 structures immediately impacted with 40-50 soon

Location: Just west of Auburn.
ROC: Fire burning in oak woodland. 
ROS: Rapid rate of spread with structures threatened.
Resources: B2317, E2389, E2371, E2389, E2379, E2367, E2370, E2373, Br181, E181, Wt74, 3 crews, AT and Sounded like tankers 88 and 89
