THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN LOS ANGELES/OXNARD HAS ISSUED A RED FLAG WARNING... WHICH IS IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 PM PDT WEDNESDAY. THE FIRE WEATHER WATCH IS NO LONGER IN EFFECT. SINGLE DIGIT HUMIDITIES WILL PERSIST THROUGH WEDNESDAY EVENING WITH LITTLE OR NO OVERNIGHT RECOVERIES. AFTERNOON TEMPERATURES WILL RANGE 10 TO 15 DEGREES ABOVE NORMAL. IN ADDITION...NORTH WINDS 15 TO 25 MPH WITH GUSTS TO 35 MPH THROUGH THE PASSES OF THE SANTA YNEZ RANGE TUESDAY EVENING. THE STRONGEST WINDS SHOULD OCCUR TO THE WEST OF THE CITY OF SANTA BARBARA.

A RED FLAG WARNING MEANS THAT CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS ARE EITHER OCCURRING NOW...OR WILL SHORTLY. A COMBINATION LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY... AND WARM TEMPERATURES WILL CREATE EXTREME FIRE GROWTH POTENTIAL. PLEASE ADVISE THE APPROPRIATE OFFICIALS OR FIRE CREWS IN THE FIELD OF THIS RED FLAG WARNING.
