CA-LNU Jerusalem Fire - Lake County Northeast of Middletown. [NEW MAP]

Fast moving wildfire in Jericho Valley, Lake County in fuels consisting of heavy brush and six foot high chaparral. 

NEW; FURTHER EVACUATIONS FOR THE JERUSALEM VALLEY:
A Mandatory Evacuation is issued for Morgan Valley Road from the Reiff Road intersection east to the Napa County Line, Reiff Road from the Morgan Valley Road intersection east to the Yolo County Line.

Mandatory Evacuations are in place for the Jerusalem Valley area east of Spruce Grove. This includes Tinilyn Road, Nicholas Way, Jaclyn Road, June Bug Drive, Jerusalem Grade, Jerusalem Valley Road, Jerusalem Road, W Jerusalem Road, Canyon Road, Coon Flat Road and Daly Place. Advisory Evacuations are issued for Grange Road from Luchetti Ranch Road east to Bucksnort Creek, Butts Canyon Road from Bucksnort Creek east to the Napa County Line, Morgan Valley Road from the Reiff Road intersection east to the Napa County Line and Reiff Road from the Morgan Valley Road intersection east to the Yolo County Line.

Evacuation Center: Middletown High School, 415-971-0797

Road Closures: Jerusalem Valley Road is closed to all traffic at Spruce Grove Road, Morgan Valley Road from Reiff Road southeast to Napa County Line, Reiff Road from Morgan Valley east to Yolo County Line and Berryessa Knoxville Road closed from Lake Berryessa north (per Napa County Sheriff).

ORIGINAL Evacuations: Evacuations for the area of Jerusalem valley
A Mandatory Evacuation is issued for the Jerusalem Valley area east of Spruce Grove. Jerusalem Valley Road is closed to all traffic at Spruce Grove Road. Fire personnel and emergency vehicles will be working in the area. 

Evacuation Centers: The Middletown High School evacuation center will remain open. 
Road Closures: Jerusalem Valley Road is closed to all traffic at Spruce Grove Road.

Update 08/15/2015 0700: 25,146 acres & 78% contained.
Structures Destroyed: 4 residences, 13 outbuildings

The burnout of the interior islands continues to threaten fire control lines. Crews are safely able to make access to evaluate damaged structures due to reduced fire activity. Teams will continue to survey the fire area to complete a final assessment. Maintain awareness as fire crews and emergency vehicles continue to work in the area.
THE ROCKY FIRE IS 100% CONTAINED.  
Update 08/14/2015 0700: 24,000 Acres 50%, Mandatory evacuations have been issued for Morgan Valley Road from Reiff Road intersection east to the Napa County Line, Reiff Road from the Morgan Valley Road intersection east to the Yolo County Line. The mandatory evacuation is still in effect for the Jerusalem Valley area east of Spruce Grove. Jerusalem Valley Road is closed to all traffic at Spruce Grove Road. Fire personnel and emergency vehicles will be working in the area.

Update 08/11/2015 1700: 14,000 acres - 5% contained, NEW EVACUATIONS, Erratic winds are contributing to the increased fire activity and promoting high intensity runs with short range spotting.

Update 08/11/2015 0700: 12,000 acres, burning conditions slowed down overnight due to an increase in relative humidity and cooler temperatures. The fire still remains active and firefighters are working aggressively to stop the forward progression and sustain perimeter control. Erratic winds are contributing to the increased fire activity and promoting high intensity runs with short range spotting

Update 08/10/2015 1700: Now 6,000 acres but basically overnight became the south branch of the  

Update 08/10/2015 1200: CALFIRE Chief PIO Daniel Berlant on KCRA's noon news stating a citizen is in custody for arson for starting a back fire on this fire.

Update 08/10/2015 0600: 5000 acres. AA ordered VLAT & 2 MAFFS from MCC and 2 S-2s from Ukiah, 6 Helicopters assigned.

Update 08/09/2015 1900: Per IC 3,000 acres.


Update 08/09/2015 1900: 2,000 acres, 0% contained. Burning in brush at a dangerous rate of spread. Fire is burning east away from structures. Advisory evacuations in place. Mid-range spotting ahead of the main fire. IC Now requesting 12 dozers and 19 ST's - 13 Charlies and 6 Gulfs


Update 08/09/2015 1830: 1800 acres, fire in Jericho Valley. IC requesting 6 dozers

The fire is currently moving northeast in dense brush and steep terrain. Resources are being sent from the Rocky Fire to the Jerusalem Fire.
