Anderson was released from custody Sunday because charges had not been filed, according to Tuolumne County Jail officials. The Tuolumne County District Attorney’s Office said it was still waiting for a report from Cal Fire.
Booking logs show Anderson was arrested at Columbia Fire Department, 11328 Jackson St., and his occupation is listed as a firefighter.

What: Cal Fire law enforcement officers from the Tuolumne-Calaveras Unit arrested Anderson in connection with several suspected arson fires that also led to the arrests of three juvenile boys earlier this month, according to a Cal Fire news release.

****REMINDER**** Every fire has the ability to be catastrophic. The wildland fire management environment has profoundly changed. Growing numbers of communities, across the nation, are experiencing longer fire seasons; more frequent, bigger, and more severe, fires are a real threat. Be careful with all campfires and equipment.

"I am a firm believer in the people. If given the truth, they can be depended upon to meet any national crisis. The great point is to bring them the real facts, and beer." --Abraham Lincoln
