RED FLAG WARNING - SANTA CLARITA VALLEY

RED FLAG WARNING
 A RED FLAG WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 PM PDT THIS EVENING. 


WINDS: PEAK WINDS ARE EXPECTED TO OCCUR THIS MORNING. DURING THIS TIME...NORTHEAST WINDS 25 TO 40 MPH CAN BE EXPECTED WITH GUSTS UP TO 60 MPH. 
 RELATIVE HUMIDITY: WIDESPREAD HUMIDITIES BETWEEN 3 AND 6 PERCENT. 
IMPACTS: DUE TO THE STRENGTH OF THIS WIND EVENT...THERE WILL BE THE POTENTIAL FOR DOWNED POWER LINES. IF FIRE IGNITION OCCURS...THERE WOULD LIKELY BE A RAPID SPREAD OF WILDFIRE THAT COULD LEAD TO A THREAT TO LIFE AND PROPERTY. 


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS
Instruction:
A RED FLAG WARNING MEANS THAT CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS ARE EXPECTED. THIS IN COMBINATION WITH DRY FUELS COULD CREATE EXTREME FIRE DANGER AND/OR FIRE BEHAVIOR. PLEASE ADVISE THE APPROPRIATE OFFICIALS OR FIRE CREWS IN THE FIELD OF THIS RED FLAG WARNING.

Affected Counties or parts of: Santa Barbara, Ventura, San Luis Obispo, Los Angeles
