Cal-Fire Worker Killed in Tehama County Rollover Crash
WEST TEHAMA - A 40-year-old Red Bluff woman employed by Cal-Fire was found dead in an apparent vehicle rollover accident Friday morning on Round Valley Road, the Corning Observer reported.
Carrie Pamela Fox, 40, of Red Bluff, was an office employee at CalFire's Salt Creek Camp.
The crash occurred about one mile from the camp, said CalFire Capt. Scott McLean.
California Highway Patrol reported Fox was traveling southbound on Round Valley Road, south of Mud Flat Road, when her 1999 Honda drifted off the right side of the road.
It appears Fox over-corrected back to the left, crossing back over the road and causing the Honda to roll, said the CHP.
Fox sustained fatal injuries in accident, which occurred at 9:30 a.m., but due to he remote location and terrain, was not discovered and reported until 11:42 a.m., CHP stated

****REMINDER**** Every fire has the ability to be catastrophic. The wildland fire management environment has profoundly changed. Growing numbers of communities, across the nation, are experiencing longer fire seasons; more frequent, bigger, and more severe, fires are a real threat. Be careful with all campfires and equipment.
