Conditions: | Firefighters remain at scene to mop up and patrol for hot spots. Rain continues to fall in the fire area. There is no impact to Highway 395. The American Red Cross is offering assistance to the victims whose homes were damaged or destroyed by the fire and will be holding a meeting today at 10 a.m. at the Big Pine School to discuss disaster assistance. Despite the extreme winds, firefighters were able to quickly contain this fire due to the work and cooperation between the volunteer, state, local and federal firefighters, we well as the law enforcement agencies and public works departments. | ||
