Garberville: Early morning Fire claims shed full of burls



A fire completely consumed a storage shed full of burls behind the Legend of Big Foot near Richardson Grove on Thursday morning, Nov. 11. According to Cal Fire, the fire was reported at 4 a.m. by a motorist who saw it from the highway. The structure was fully involved when Cal Fire arrived on scene. The fire was contained to the one structure. The Garberville Volunteer Fire Department also responded to the scene and the Redway Volunteer Fire Department brought their water tender. The cause of the fire is unknown.
