San Bruno Gas pipeline explosion - 4 Fatalities, 15 acres 100% contained

Glenview Incident: City of San Bruno, San Mateo County is an urban incident, about 15 acres and 100% of fire contained.
Update: TOWN HALL MEETING on Saturday September 11, 2010 at 2PM
The meeting will be held at the St. Roberts Catholic Church on 1380 Crystal Springs Rd, San Bruno, CA
The result of an explosion, this fire is occurred in a residential neighborhood. Numerous homes have been destroyed or damaged.
  • An FMAG has been approved for this incident. This is a local government incident, State and Federal entities will be providing support as requested.
  • NTSB Go Team is on scene and in charge of investigation
  • Area is being treated as a crime scene.
  • 30" Gas Pipeline ruptured was installed in 1956, and was completely blown out of ground during failure and landed on residential street.

Fatalities - 4 - The San Mateo County coroner's office has identified three of the four people killed in Thursday's explosion and fire in San Bruno.
Two of the victims, a mother and daughter, were identified as 44-year-old Jacqueline Greig and 13-year-old Janessa Greig.
Another victim was identified as 20-year-old Jessica Morales.
The coroner's office is still working to identify the fourth victim.
Injuries - 52  
Homes destroyed - 38
Search/Rescue - Greater than 75% of the area has been USAR searched.
