ANF: Forest Service re-evaluating power lines forest ecology impact

SoCal Edison Thinking Twice About Rebuilding Fire-Destroyed Powerlines

LOS ANGELES -- Southern California Edison is going to have to re-think its plans to rebuild power lines through the Angeles National Forest, in the wake of last summer's huge Station Fire.

The Forest Service will be sending out a team of experts to look at how the utility's plans to increase the size and voltage of its lines through the area will affect the forest's ecology, which was drastically changed by the fire.
