Colyear Springs - VMP Scheduled for Monday

Planned 700 acre vegetation management burn - California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (Cal Fire) and California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDC) is planning a 700 acre vegetation management burn for Monday.

If Monday is not an official burn day the burn will take place on the first approved burn day of next week.

The chapparal burning will be done at Colyear Springs on private and Bureau of Land Management land.

The burn will be done by heli-torch and hand crews.

The object of the burn is hazard reduction and wildlife enhancement.
