EDIS: Santa Ana winds have weakened

So Cal Critical Fire weather subsiding - Santa Ana winds have weakened but continue in the mountains of Ventura and Los Angeles Counties

Affected Counties or parts of: Santa Barbara, Ventura, San Luis Obispo, Los Angeles.

SURFACE HIGH PRESSURE OVER THE GREAT BASIN HAS WEAKENED TODAY AND THE STRONG NORTHEAST WINDS THAT IMPACTED SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA HAVE DIMINISHED SUBSTANTIALLY. THESE WINDS ARE NOW CONFINED TO THE MOUNTAINS AND ADJACENT FOOTHILLS...BUT THESE WINDS SHOULD ALSO CONTINUE TO WEAKEN INTO THE EVENING. ...WIND ADVISORY WILL EXPIRE AT 3 PM PDT THIS AFTERNOON... THE WIND ADVISORY WILL EXPIRE AT 3 PM PDT THIS AFTERNOON. THE NORTHEAST WINDS HAVE WEAKENED THIS AFTERNOON TO BELOW ADVISORY STRENGTH. ALTHOUGH NORTHEAST WINDS BETWEEN 15 AND 25 MPH WILL IMPACT ISOLATED AREAS AT TIMES THROUGH WEDNESDAY MORNING...FURTHER STRENGTHENING IS NOT EXPECTED.
