Wildland fire activity remains light nationally. One new large fire was reported in Idaho. One large fire was contained in California.
Crews and Incident Management Teams are stationed in Atlanta, Georgia and Baton Rouge, Louisiana, to support Hurricane Gustav recovery operations.
Weather Discussion: Cooler weather along with gusty winds is predicted for the Great Basin, Montana, and Wyoming. Showers and thunderstorms will develop across the same areas.
