Final Summary:
The Whiskey Fire, located in Tehama County on the Mendocino National Forest is 100% percent contained.
The fire is burning in chaparral brushand grasses in a sparsely habited area about five miles Northwest of the community of Paskenta. Demobilization of resources continues

Estimated Containment Date: 06/19/2008 at 1800 hrs.
Fuels Involved: Chaparral (6 foot), oak woodland, and grass
Fire Behavior: Firefighters observed creeping and smoldering fire behavior.
Significant Events: Road closures remain in effect for portions of M-2 and M-4 roads to the fire area. Demobilization of resources continues.
Outlook
Planned Actions - Fire crews in all divisions of the fire will mop-up within 300 feet of the fire perimeter, continue fire suppression rehabilitation, and patrol the fire.
Growth Potential: Low
Terrain Difficulty: High
Containment Target: The chosen management strategy has succeeded.
Remarks - This morning, NorCal Team II transferred command of the fire to a smaller fire management organization under the command of Incident Commander Ron Recker.
