CA-RRU Fire- Dos Palmas - 316 acres - 30% contained

Update: 07:30 a.m- Fire has increased in size over night from 25 acres to 316 acres and is 30% contained. Fuels involved include 40 year old sage, bamboo, tamarisk and salt brush.
Fire burned actively throughout the night with up to 50' flame lengths.
Large resource orders anticipated for day shift.

Comments: CAL FIRE/Riverside County Firefighters are at the scene of a fire in a palm grove on the BLM Dos Palmas Preserve. Approximately 15 acres of palm and mesquite trees are involved. Updates will be posted as information becomes available.
