  1. Please, if possible, could someone update the Rice Fire information?
40,000 people have been evacuated since this afternoon from that area, and this is not mentioned, yet. We've gotten emails from friends there before mandated evacuation at 6 PM and it's now 11PM.
How far into Riverside County is the recommended evacuation spread? I see from the map found at http://www.sdcuntyemergency.com/ that the evacuation area is spread far along the county line. My husband is working in that area, and I am worried.

****REMINDER**** Every fire has the ability to be catastrophic. The wildland fire management environment has profoundly changed. Growing numbers of communities, across the nation, are experiencing longer fire seasons; more frequent, bigger, and more severe, fires are a real threat. Be careful with all campfires and equipment.

"I am a firm believer in the people. If given the truth, they can be depended upon to meet any national crisis. The great point is to bring them the real facts, and beer." --Abraham Lincoln
