[EDIS] Red flag warnings in effect for gusty Santa Ana winds and low humidities for the mountains and valleys of ventura and los angeles counties from this evening through sunday evening

- SANTA MONICA MOUNTAINS RECREATIONAL AREA-VENTURA COUNTY MOUNTAINS / LOS PADRES NATIONAL FOREST-LOS ANGELES COUNTY MOUNTAINS / ANGELES NATIONAL FOREST-


GUSTY SANTA ANA WINDS WILL DEVELOP ACROSS THE AREA TODAY AND TONIGHT AS HIGH PRESSURE BUILDS OVER THE GREAT BASIN. THE STRONGEST WINDS WILL OCCUR LATE TONIGHT AND SUNDAY MORNING THROUGH AND BELOW THE PASSES AND CANYONS OF VENTURA AND LOS ANGELES COUNTIES. ALONG WITH THE GUSTY OFFSHORE WINDS... RELATIVE HUMIDITIES WILL BEGIN TO FALL THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT... DROPPING INTO THE TEENS AND EVEN SINGLE DIGITS LATE TONIGHT AND SUNDAY. ... RED FLAG WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 11 PM THIS EVENING TO 11 PM PDT SUNDAY FOR GUSTY SANTA ANA WINDS AND LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY... THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN LOS ANGELES/OXNARD HAS ISSUED A RED FLAG WARNING... WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 11 PM THIS EVENING TO 11 PM PDT SUNDAY. THE FIRE WEATHER WATCH IS NO LONGER IN EFFECT. NORTH TO NORTHEAST WINDS BETWEEN 25 AND 40 MPH WITH GUSTS TO AROUND 55 MPH ARE EXPECTED TO DEVELOP LATER TODAY AND TONIGHT ACROSS THE WARNING AREA. ALONG WITH THE WINDS... RELATIVE HUMIDITIES WILL FALL INTO THE TEENS AND SINGLE DIGITS LATE TONIGHT AND SUNDAY PRODUCING CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS. THE OFFSHORE WINDS ARE EXPECTED TO DIMINISH SUNDAY AFTERNOON AND EVENING... WHILE RELATIVE HUMIDITIES REMAIN LOW.

Instruction:
A RED FLAG WARNING MEANS THAT CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS ARE EITHER OCCURRING NOW...OR WILL SHORTLY. A COMBINATION OF STRONG WINDS... LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY... AND WARM TEMPERATURES WILL CREATE EXPLOSIVE FIRE GROWTH POTENTIAL. PLEASE ADVISE THE APPROPRIATE OFFICIALS OR FIRE CREWS IN THE FIELD OF THIS RED FLAG WARNING.
