CA-SHU Barker Fire Trinity County, Mandatory evacuations

Barker Fire: CA-SHU Barker Fire, Trinity County

 Firefighters continue to battle a wildland fire burning in the brush and timber in Trinity County. 

Evacuations: Mandatory evacuations for Barker Creek Rd. An Evacuation Shelter has been set up at the Solid Rock Christian Church, 66 Tule Creek Rd. Hayfork. Road Closures : Highway 3 and Barker Creek Road. 

Update 08/01/2015 0845900 acres, 5% contained. Located northeast of Hayfork. Threat to residences; mandatory evacuations in place for the Barker Creek area. There is a potential threat of lightning in the area today.

Update 07/31/2015 1445: 70 acres, 0% contained.
Evacuations underway for Hayfork. Group torching observed and spotting 1/3mi ahead.
