Santa Barbara County Selects New Fire Chief Eric Peterson


Eric Peterson, newly appointed Santa Barbara County fire chief

The Santa Barbara County Board of Supervisors selected Eric Peterson as the next chief of the Santa Barbara County Fire Department.
Peterson is currently the department's deputy chief. He will take over for Chief Michael Dyer, who is retiring this month.
Peterson began his career with the Santa Barbara County Fire Department in 1987.
His first day as chief will be February 2, 2015.
