CA-MVU Highway Fire 500 acres - 100% contained [FINAL]

Road Closed: I-15 is closed from 3.5 miles south of the junction of SR76 to 0.7 miles north of the junction of SR76 (San Diego County) at 1527 hours on 5/14/2014 due to wildfire – motorists are advised to use an alternate route

Update 5/15 0830: 500 acres - 40% contained 
Update 1530: 600 acres With wind shift fire jumped I 15 going east.

Location: Old Hwy 395 north of White Lilac Off Old Hwy 395 and I-15 in the Deer Springs area (San Diego County).
Acres: 3-5
ROS: Rapid
ROC: Heavy fuels have not burned since Gopher Cyn. fire back in 1970.
Structure threat: Yes
Special Hazards: Steep, limited ground access
Resources: Full Cal-Fire and North County response.
