UPDATE 1:00 PM: NB 2 Fwy x NB 5 Fwy* There have been NO injuries and NO
evacuations associated with this incident; The reopening of freewayslanes will be a decision of CHP and Caltrans
12:46 PM UPDATE: NB 2 Fwy x NB 5 Fwy* Public flame/explosion hazard remains in
storm drains + down river; LAFD is working with local, regional, State +
Federal environmental officials. There is NO threat or hazard (aside
traffic delays and need for alternate routes) to those attending this
afternoon's Dodgers/Rockies game.
12:43 PM UPDATE: NB 2 Fwy x NB 5 Fwy* Entire 7500 gallons (unspecified grade)
*Gasoline* has burned or spilled to storm drains and adjacent L.A. River
12:30 PM UPDATE: NB 5 Fwy x Stadium Wy, Vehicle is confirmed as tanker that had 7500
gals flammable fuel (awaiting confirmation on type/grade) per tankerdriver, who escaped unharmed. The bulk of flames have been controlled,
but not fully extinguished at locations
