Evacuations: Multiple campgrounds on Mt Laguna including Shriner Camp - Mandatory evacuations for residents from Laguna Mountain Lodge south to Interstate 8.

Road Closures: Sunrise Highway were closed between State Route 79 and mile marker 26 and on Sunrise Highway from mile marker 26 to Interstate 8

STRUCTURE DAMAGE REPORTS
Fire is now in Storm Canyon and well established on the west side.

Al Bahr Shrine Camp, gutting a lodge, social hall and about 10 log cabins, all built in the 1920s, along with 85 or more residential trailers, said Arnold Korey, recorder for the club.

"The fire has reached Sunrise Highway in the Cottonwood Canyon area," Cal Fire Capt. Mike Mohler said in a statement. "It burned through the Al Bahr Shrine Camp ... The fire is now well established on the west side of Sunrise Highway."

A nearby lodge operated by the San Diego chapter of the Sierra Club also was lost, authorities reported.

Fire remains a threat to the Mt. Laguna Community and the campgrounds of: El Prado, Horse Haven and Laguna. 
Communication tower also remains at risk.

Watch closely and you can see firefighters near the bottom of the screen and an air tanker dropping fire retardant. At this time the fire is estimated to have burned 4,700 acres.

Chariot Canyon Road, Mt. Laguna C/o sunrise Highway.Evacuation orders were lifted last night (7/11) at 1900 hours.

A small risk remains for the communication tower on monument peak and the FAA beacon tower as well.

Update 7-8 1200: 3,000 acres. Sunrise Highway remains closed, Fire is well established over the road, and running. It has impacted several cabins already. "This fire is obliterating the Shrine Camp, all the propane tanks are exploding" fire posing imminent threats to 120 homes near Mount Laguna

The fire has burned 2500 acres and is 20% contained.

Fire remains a threat to El Prado, Forest Haven, Campoli, and Mt. Laguna campgrounds as well as the Al Bahr Shrine Camp and Foster Lodge.

Communication tower on top of monument peak also at risk.

Access continues to be limited with firefighters continuing to be shuttled in via helicopters.

Chariot Canyon Road and Oriflamme Canyon Road, East of Julian

The fire has burned 2,200 acres and is 10% contained.

El Prado, Forest Haven, Campoli, and Mt. Laguna campgrounds as well as the Al Bahr Shrine Camp and Foster Lodge have been evacuated. The fire has made several runs to the southwest and is currently bumping the Sunrise Highway.  Accessibility is difficult requiring crews to be shuttled via helicopter.

The Team will tentatively transition at approximately 1000 hours today.  

Fire has burned 1,400 acres, and is 10% contained

El Prado, Forest Haven, Campoli, and Mt. Laguna campgrounds, the communication tower on top of Monument Peak, and FRA lands are threatened
