Angeles National Forest Fire Lookout Association Seeking Volunteers #CaFire

Interested in becoming a Fire Lookout?
It’s probably easier that you realize to become an active Fire Lookout with the ANFFLA. It just takes a few classes training (which are quite fun!) and the desire to spend some time in the Angeles National Forest. For more information about becoming a fire lookout, please see our Training page.

Don’t have time to volunteer but still want to help? The ANFFLA needs your assistance. We work diligently to preserve and protect historical jewels atop the forest crown. http://www.anffla.org/donations/

****REMINDER**** Every fire has the ability to be catastrophic. The wildland fire management environment has profoundly changed. Growing numbers of communities, across the nation, are experiencing longer fire seasons; more frequent, bigger, and more severe, fires are a real threat. Be careful with all campfires and equipment.

"I am a firm believer in the people. If given the truth, they can be depended upon to meet any national crisis. The great point is to bring them the real facts, and beer." --Abraham Lincoln
