Orange County: Active Shooter and 3 dead, others wounded

A 25-minute shooting spree through Southern California left at least three dead and others wounded before the shooter killed himself, police said Tuesday.

TUSTIN, California (AP) —  The shootings started with an apparent carjacking Tuesday morning, said Tustin police Supervisor Dave Kanoti. Police then received police reports of shootings in several locations, he said.

Authorities found at least six crime scenes, Orange County sheriff's spokesman Jim Amormino told KNBC-TV

The alleged shooter shot himself in the middle of an intersection, Kanoti said.

It was possible more people were shot, Kanoti said, because some people may have chased the shooter.

The conditions of the wounded victims were unknown.

****REMINDER**** Every fire has the ability to be catastrophic. The wildland fire management environment has profoundly changed. Growing numbers of communities, across the nation, are experiencing longer fire seasons; more frequent, bigger, and more severe, fires are a real threat. Be careful with all campfires and equipment.

"I am a firm believer in the people. If given the truth, they can be depended upon to meet any national crisis. The great point is to bring them the real facts, and beer." --Abraham Lincoln
