As of 1800 Hrs. tonight 5 Mile fire will be under a type 3 incident IC(Massy).
Tentatively as of 0800 hrs. Sunday morning, the 5 Mile incident will be turned back to Los Angeles County Fire. Difficult access for hand crews due to terrain and topographical challenges.
Wind advisory for the Santa Clarita area, Sunday morning, from 0400 hrs. through 1000 hrs.
Winds forecasted from NE 15-30 mph with gusts of 40 mph. Slow lane and right shoulder on Interstate Hwy continues to be closed for firefighter safety. All lanes of north bound Interstate 5 Freeway will be open to normal traffic as of Sunday morning. Excellent progress was made today with fire suppression repair.A major demob of excess resources is currently underway.
