Alameda Firefighters shave for St. Baldrick's Foundation

Over the weekend, 21 Alameda Firefighters, including the Fire Chief, had their heads shaved at Children's Hospital in Oakland on behalf of the St. Baldrick's Foundation, a charitable foundation that funds childhood cancer research.
Alameda Firefighters team raised nearly $3,000, with the event itself raising over $160,000. Thanks to all who donated to St. Baldrick's and supported teams!

Growing numbers of communities, across the nation, are experiencing longer fire seasons; more frequent, bigger, and more severe, fires are a real threat. Be careful with all campfires and equipment.
