CAL FIRE SCU Unit ready for pet resuscitation

Equipping First Responders with Animal Resuscitation Kits
When disaster strikes, family pets can become victims too. It is estimated that over 40,000 pets die in fires each year from smoke asphyxiation. Air For Paws is dedicated to providing our fire and rescue personnel with special resuscitation kits and training that can save the lives of family pets.

The Right Equipment: Air For Paws Animal Resuscitation Kits contain specially designed oxygen masks constructed to properly fit animals ranging in size from hamsters to large dogs.

Complete Training: Air For Paws provides training and education to ensure a complete response to pet emergencies, including first aid, emergency planning and temporary shelter.

****REMINDER**** Every fire has the ability to be catastrophic. The wildland fire management environment has profoundly changed. Growing numbers of communities, across the nation, are experiencing longer fire seasons; more frequent, bigger, and more severe, fires are a real threat. Be careful with all campfires and equipment.

"I am a firm believer in the people. If given the truth, they can be depended upon to meet any national crisis. The great point is to bring them the real facts, and beer." --Abraham Lincoln
