THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN SAN FRANCISCO HAS ISSUED A RED FLAG WARNING FOR WIND AND LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 6 PM TUESDAY TO 6 AM PDT THURSDAY. HILLS ABOVE 1000 FEET IN MARIN/SONOMA AND NAPA COUNTIES. THE AREA OF STRONGEST WINDS WILL BE THE HILLS OF NORTHERN AND EASTERN NAPA COUNTY AS WELL AS AROUND MOUNT ST HELENA.
* WINDS NORTH TO NORTHEAST WINDS SUSTAINED 15 TO 25 MPH WITH FREQUENT GUSTS 35 TO 40 MPH. STRONGEST WINDS WILL OCCUR LATE TUESDAY NIGHT THROUGH MIDDAY WEDNESDAY.
* RELATIVE HUMIDITY. LESS THAN 30 PERCENT TUESDAY NIGHT LOWERING TO 12 TO 18 PERCENT WEDNESDAY THROUGH EARLY THURSDAY WITH NO HUMIDITY RECOVERY ON WEDNESDAY NIGHT. * IMPACTS ANY IGNITIONS DURING THE PERIOD OF STRONGEST WINDS COULD LEAD TO NEW FIRE STARTS THAT WILL BE DIFFICULT TO SUPPRESS WITH RAPID RATES OF SPREAD. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS
