Location: Highway 395, 2 miles south of Big Pine
Acres Burned: 1,250 acres
Containment 1,250 acres - 5% contained
Cause: Under Investigation
Cooperating Agencies: CAL FIRE, Inyo Fire, USFS, BLM, local agencies, CHP, Inyo Co Sheriff, Inyo County, Los Angeles Dept. of Water and Power.
Total Fire Personnel: 120
Engines: 6  
Fire crews: 4  
Airtankers: 4  
Helicopters: 1  
Dozers: 1  
Water tenders: 3  
Conditions: Crews will be working to contain the fire. A wind shift turned the fire toward the south causing it to burn up and over Crater Mountain.
