Fire activity: Active burning between midnight and 5:00 a.m. this morning.
Six crews will hike into the fire area this morning to relieve the four night shift crews. Available air resources include: 3 medium helicopters, 1 Type 1 helicopter, 2 air tankers (if needed)
Update: 5-9-1200hrs 150 acres, The Momyer and Vivian Creek Trails are closed until further notice.
Update: 5-8-1330hrs 10 acres with moderate ROS, 1/2 mile spotting observed, evacuating public from the ten thousand foot ridge area.
IA: #Wildfire 1/2 acre fire above Forrest Falls.

Related info: Cal Fire has not staffed on-call air-tankers as usual. Cal Fire has decided to not start air-tankers until May 15th.
