Update on Escondido House Burn Plan
The window for the burn operation at 1954 Via Scott is now between 10:00 a.m. and
11:00 a.m. due to weather conditions.
Sheriff’s Deputies completed a final check of the evacuation zone. Five families chose to
decline evacuation requests from law enforcement and were given shelter in place instructions.
Reverse 911 calls to people within the shelter in place zone will go out at approximately 9:00
a.m.
The shut down of I-15 between SR-78 and Centre City Parkway is temporarily set at
10:00 a.m. Traffic Control Points around 1954 Via Scott are now in place.
Sheriff’s Bomb/Arson Unit is now making final preparations for the burn. Firefighters
with the San Marcos Fire Department have sprayed protective gel to adjacent homes.
