San Bernardino: Woman killed after suicidal teen drives truck into her home

SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. — A California woman has died after a truck driven into her home pinned her against the kitchen stove.
Police say 45-year-old Glynna Rose Folkens was standing in her kitchen Thursday night when a truck barreled through a brick wall in the back of her San Bernardino home and pinned her, causing massive leg injuries.
Police officer Daniel Hesser says the driver, 19-year-old Christopher Segura, ran a stop sign, breached a cinder block wall and crashed through the back of the house at 9:36 p.m.
Police say the cause is still under investigation, but early evidence suggests Segura may have been attempting suicide.
Segura was hospitalized but his condition was not known. It was not clear whether he would face any charges.

****REMINDER**** Every fire has the ability to be catastrophic. The wildland fire management environment has profoundly changed. Growing numbers of communities, across the nation, are experiencing longer fire seasons; more frequent, bigger, and more severe, fires are a real threat. Be careful with all campfires and equipment.

"I am a firm believer in the people. If given the truth, they can be depended upon to meet any national crisis. The great point is to bring them the real facts, and beer." --Abraham Lincoln
