Chief's Number of Firefighters: 28 Firefighters Injuries: 0 Fatalities: 0 Property Loss/Damage: No loss Value, Property Slated For Demolition Contents Loss: 0 Property Saved: 0 Additional information: San Bernardino Police Officers patrolling nearby spotted heavy smoke in the area and notified dispatchers. San Bernardino Fire Department companies arrived on scene within minutes reporting heavy smoke and fire to the rear and inside a vacant residential structure. The area where the fire started is a city block that is gated and slated for demolition for the expansion of San Bernardino Valley College. San Bernardino Fire units were able to contain the fire within the affected structure and had full extinguishment within the hour. Fire Department investigators were on scene to investigate suspicious activity. ***END** |
