California Morning Report: Wildland Fire News and Notes

GACC-OSCC- News and Notes 0930 - LA BREA CA-LPF-002631 Transition to a Type 1 CIIMT Team #3 (Pincha-Tulley) happen this morning at 0600.
Fire is burning in 6'foot Chaparral and brush with no fire history recorded in this area for 20+ years .
Acreage reported as 10,500 ACRES 0% contained as reflected on perimeter map provided to Southern Operations Calif. by Air Attack.
Fire is burning in steep, inaccessible terrain in the San Rafael wilderness. Last night the fire behavior was moderate due to increased relative humidity. No major runs or spotting was observed. Long range spotting and moderate to rapid rates of spread are expected as the day heats up.
Planned actions for today call for continued direct attack on the southern and eastern perimeter. Continuing to construct contingency lines outside of the wilderness.

Closures: The Sierra Madre ridge road remains closed. Campgrounds in the area have been closed. Evacuations are complete. 12 adjacent camp ground were evacuated yesterday and remain closed to hikers and the public. The Los Padres National Forest is working to issue a closure notice for the fire area. La Brea ICP is located at Preisker Park 2301 Preisker Lane Santa Maria, Ca 93458.

Road closures in effect. Evacuations in effect. 9,200 acres burned in last operational period. Total Pers: +218 in last Op period, total 580

SCU Mines Mines Road area, Santa Clara county 50 acres, 100% excellent containment by 6 Air Tankers, and three copters yesterday. mop-up continues this morning.

SHU Lightning (3 fires) size: 15,104 acres, 65% Shasta-Trinity Unit, Cal Fire. Cal Fire IMT1 (Wenham). Three miles northeast of Burney, CA. Timber. Moderate fire activity. Road closures in effect. Total Pers: -75 in last Op period, total 2,074
Crw: 32 Eng: 48 Heli: 14 Cost to date: 14.1 M

Hat Creek Complex, size: 11,269 acres, 85% Lassen NF. IMT2 (Molhoek). Nineteen miles southeast of Old Station, CA. Timber and brush. Smoldering.Total Pers: -355 in last Op period, total 593
Crw: 15 Eng: 17 Heli: 1 Cost to date: 7.4 M

LNF Lightning Complex, size: 225 acres, 85% Lassen NF. Twenty miles northeast of Chester, CA. Timber. No new information. Total Pers: +0 in last Op period, total 4
Crw: 4 Eng: 9 Heli: 3 Cost to date: Unk
