RED FLAG WARNING - Sierra Front and greater Lake Tahoe area

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A RED FLAG WARNING...

WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 11 AM TO 11 PM PDT TUESDAY. STRONG GUSTY WINDS ARE EXPECTED TO OCCUR TUESDAY AFTERNOON AND EVENING ACROSS THE TAHOE BASIN AND SIERRA FRONT.

WEST WINDS OF 15 TO 25 MPH WITH GUSTS TO 40 MPH ARE FORECAST TO COMBINE WITH AFTERNOON HUMIDITY OF 10 TO 15 PERCENT.

WITH FUELS DRYING ACROSS THE AREA

THE INCREASING WINDS WILL BECOME CONDUCIVE TO RAPID FIRE GROWTH.

Instruction:
A RED FLAG WARNING MEANS THAT CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS WILL OCCUR.CONTINUE TO CHECK WEATHER.GOV/RENO FOR UPDATES.
