CA-SNF- Lions Fire - Kern Plateau Lightning fire - 2 acres

Recent thunderstorm activity ignited the the Lion fire, which was reported on Tuesday, June 30th.
location: 3 miles northwest of the Blackrock Ranger Station and approximately 1/2 mile north of Beach Meadow on the Kern Plateau.
This 2 acre wildland fire being used for resource benefit, is burning at 8,200 elevation in Jeffrey pine.
Fire personnel are currently preparing holding lines for the next couple days.
