BUTTE: Jordan Incident - 40 acres 100%

Final Update: 40 acres, 100% contained.
Update: Noon - All aircraft have been released from the incident. The fire is 90% contained and crews will remain at the scene for the day to make sure the winds do not stir up any embers. Air attack spotter plane will be back in the air around 3:00pm to check things out.
Update: 0745 - Fires 50% contained; largest holding at 20 acres 3 spot fires contained,
4th still open, largest of spots at 5 acres.

At just before midnight, Sawmill Peak Lookout reported a vegetation fire almost due north of the lookout, on the east side of the Feather River.

Once resources arrived at scene, it was determined with the help of the lookout that there were apparently four fires in an area where logging was being done. The fire acreage is approximately 15 acres at 0045 hours. The Incident Command Post location is pending at this time.

There are 8-10 engines, four hand crews, and at least one water tender on scene or enroute.

The incident name is Jordan IC, on Tactical Channel 11. Butte Fire (151.400) is as usual the dispatch and main frequency for those of you with scanners.
