Launch Vehicle: Delta II
Date: May 5
Launch Period: 1 - 2 p.m.
Vandenberg Air Force Base says they have successfully launched a Delta II rocket Tuesday afternoon.
The rocket launched at 1:24 p.m.
The rocket is carrying an experimental research satellite for the Missile Defense Agency. The satellite will be used to detect missile launches from space.
The last Delta II launch was in February. Vandenberg AFB says the launch success rate for a Delta II rocket is 98.7 percent.

You're publishing a picture without any source - making it look like actual footage for the launch. The rocket launched on May 5 has a blue middle part and a completely white top part - therefore this picture does show any other Delta II with nine boosters. It would be nice to add proper descriptions and sources to pics in the future. Despites - why is that an issue for a wildfire webpage?

ReplyDeleteIt is public safety related, nice to know what that was that made sound, light and vibration over a wide are of California? We also cover earthquakes over 3.0 and swarms, Amber alerts for most child kidnappings, Political news related to public safety etc. I could go on and on....
