CA-RRU- Winchester - Vegetation Fire 205 acres 100%

Riverside County Vegetation Fire
Update 1530 hours: The fire was 100% contained at 205 acres. Full control is expected at 1800 hours today.
Update 1427 hours: The fire is 20 acres and still actively burning. Significant resources are at the scene and containment is anticipated in one hour.

IA: Riverside County 20-acre wildfire is burning in the community of Winchester the fire was reported shortly after 1 p.m. Tuesday in rural, rolling hills with scattered homes. Two structures were reported threatened on initial report.
Location: Winchester Road X Keller Road rural area just north of Temecula and south west of Hemet.
Road closures: Highway 79 is closed from Scott Road to Pourroy Road, Winchester Road is closed at Pourroy Road, and Pourroy Road is closed at Keller Road.
Fuels: dry grass and brush.
Evacuations: None
Cause: Not determined
Resources: 135 firefighters are on the scene, aided by a bulldozer and two helicopters.
