CA-VCFD- Grande - Ventura County - Vegetation Fire - 30 Acres

Wind driven Wildland brush fire Ventura, CA north of Grande Vista Dr

Update: 12-10-08 - 0600hrs -Held at 30 acres. 2 engines, 1 water tender and 4 crews today.

Update: The wind is working in the favor of the firefighters the fire looks like it will turn back on itself.

Current sizeup:
30 acres, structure threat, Wind driven in northerly direction. LRA at this time
Resources:2 alarms (10 eng, 3 HC ,Copters , Dozers). 1 additional HC st.
Location: Northbound Highway 101 @ Scales (Conjeo Grade) North of Wendy Dr Exit. , in the Newbury Park area.
IA: 1513 hrs is now a 2nd Alarm. 2-3 ac with flames visible from VNC HQ 5 miles away.
Road closures: 101 at Wendy. Some lanes shut down.
Weather: Red flag conditions, high winds
