CA-SLO- Cuesta - Vegetation Fires - 30 acres - 100%

Update: 0800hrs - Two vegetation fires that started early Friday morning near Cuesta College are now 100 percent contained, according to County/Cal Fire officials. The blazes started at 2:30 a.m. One fire burned 25 acres and the other burned five.
All roads in the area are open. There were no injuries.

Update: 0600hrs - San Luis Opispo county - Cuesta College Fire - 40 acres , 60% -
The fire that sparked near Cuesta College is now 60% contained. Cal Fire crews are still on scene controlling the fire that has now reached 40 acres. Officials with Cal Fire say crews will have a better idea on an expected containment once the sun comes up and they can better evaluate the fire.

A five to seven acre vegetation fire has sparked near the Cuesta College campus.

IA: 2:30a.m., fire near roadway.
Location: Highway 1 just north of Cuesta College, near Highway 1 and Education Drive.
Cause: fire caused by a downed electrical pole.
Road Closure: All northbound lanes of Highway 1 from Education Blvd to Gilardi.
