RED FLAG WARNING EXTENDED UNTIL 10 PM PST THIS EVENING FOR THE MOUNTAINS AND VALLEYS OF VENTURA AND LOS ANGELES COUNTIES DUE TO GUSTY NORTHEAST WINDS AND LOW HUMIDITIES,
RED FLAG WARNING ALLOWED TO EXPIRE FOR THE VENTURA AND LOS ANGELES COUNTY COAST AT 4 PM... .OFFSHORE FLOW IS STARTING TO WEAKEN ACROSS THE AREA. HOWEVER...LOCAL NORTHEAST WIND GUSTS UP TO 50 MPH ARE STILL POSSIBLE THROUGH THE EVENING HOURS BELOW PASSES AND CANYONS
THE 10 HOUR...100 HOUR...AND 1000 HOUR DEAD FUEL MOISTURE LEVELS ARE EXPECTED TO BE EXTREMELY LOW.
A RED FLAG WARNING MEANS THAT CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS ARE EITHER OCCURRING NOW...OR WILL SHORTLY. A COMBINATION OF STRONG WINDS... LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY... AND WARM TEMPERATURES WILL CREATE EXPLOSIVE FIRE GROWTH POTENTIAL. PLEASE ADVISE THE APPROPRIATE OFFICIALS OR FIRE CREWS IN THE FIELD OF THIS RED FLAG WARNING.
