CA-SLO- El Cerrito - Wildland fire - 60 acres 90%

Most Residents allowed back home in San Luis Obispo Wildland fire area.
Final Update: 100% contained
Update: 18:30hrs - El Cerrito (CA-SLU-8693) 60 acres and 90% contained. The fire is 2 miles north of the SLO Airport just outside the city limits. At this time all foreward movement of the fire has been stopped. Full containment expected tonight at 2000 hours.

Update: 12:30hrs - 100 acres 50% -There is no current danger to the Cal Poly campus. University Police are keeping Cal Poly staff apprised of any changes that might affect campus.
Cal Poly employees are asked to contact Facility Services in the event there are special needs arising from a power outage, according to the memo.

Update: 12:15hrs - 100 acres 50% - The Cal Poly campus may lose power within the next four hours because flames are approaching power lines that feed electricity to the school, according to a memo sent to Cal Poly employees.
In the event of an outage, campus faculty, staff and student are asked to continue normal operations and activities as much as possible.
Should an outage occur, most equipment including phones, computers and other electrical equipment will not function - with the exception of a few critical areas served by emergency generators.

Update: 12:00hrs - 100 acres 50% - 200 firefighters, 25 engines, two air tankers, and six bulldozers are working on the fire. The two air tankers were pulled from the Tea Fire in Montecito.

Update:
11:45hrs - 100 acres 50% - Authorities are now reporting that the fire above Johnson Avenue is 50 percent contained and full containment should occur by 10 p.m. tonight. No structures have burned and none are currently threatened.

Update:
10:45hrs - Evacuations - KSBY - just reported the fire personnel are going door to door in the area telling people in the El Cerrito Court area to evacuate. 100 acres 20%

Update: 09:45hrs - Fire crews getting some containment, est. 50 acres
Engines are doing structure protection at El Cerrito Street and Encino Court. Two Air Tankers working the fire, An immediate need Type 1 strike team has been dispatched to form up at the incident.
Advisory Evacuations - grids 10-13, Advisory Evacuations pending in Tiburon area, According to the San Luis Obispo County Sheriff's Department, they are going door to door on El Cerrito and surrounding hillside homes advising residents to evacuate.
Location: 1300 block of El Cerrito in San Luis Obispo. Near Johnson Avenue and Bishop Street in San Luis Obispo, San Luis Obispo County
IA: 08:45hrs - Approx 20 acres. Brushfire near the Old General Hospital, difficult access, Potential for 500 acres.
Current sizeup: 100 acres, immediate structure threat, winds downslope out of the Northeast, fire has been moving up hill, threatens about 50 homes off Alrita St, El Cerrito and Laural Lane.
ICP: Alrita and Flora Streets - Probably moving
