CA-LAC / CA-ANF - Sesnon Fire (Porter Ranch) - Update

Structures Threatened:

3,500 residences and 100 commercial properties are currently threatened.

Structures Damaged/
Destroyed:
19 residences and 47 outbuildings have been destroyed.
Evacuations:

Evacuations for Residents in: North of Bell Canyon, Box Canyon, Bell Canyon, Woolsey Canyon, Lake Manor, Dayton Canyon, Browns Canyon, Twin Lakes area, West of Valley Circle, and Tapo Canyon in Simi Valley.

An evacuation center has been established at the Shepherd of the Hill in Porter Ranch.

Road Closures: 118 Fwy from Resida to Stern; and Lilac Lane/ Box Canyon Road / Valley Circle from Plummer to Ingomar / Tapo Canyon Road.

Cause: Under Investigation
Cooperating Agencies: CAL FIRE, Local Fire Departments across Los Angeles County, Ventura County Fire, CHP, National Park Service, Los Angeles County Sheriffs Office, Los Angeles Police Departmet, Cal Edison, So Cal Gas, Los Angeles County OES, CDCR
Total Fire Personnel:

2,338 (332 CAL FIRE)

243 Engines
9 Crews
2 Watertenders
18 Dozers
4 Helicopters

Conditions:

Weather still remains a strong factor in the ability to control this fire.

The 118 Freeway will continue to be intermittently closed as needed for firefighting operations to be conducted safely.

CAL FIRE ICT #6 joined a Unified Command with LA County Fire Department, LA City Fire Department, and Ventura County Fire Department.
