SANTA BARBARA, Calif. -- Santa Barbara County Sheriff and fire authorities said in a press release Thursday evening they were issuing mandatory evacuation orders and evacuation warning notices due to changing conditions of the Gap Fire.
As of Thursday evening, an evacuation order was issued for homes along West Camino Cielo, west of Highway 154, including Kinevan Road and the Haney Tract; the communities of Hidden Valley and the Trout Club; and for all residents north of Patterson Avenue (north of the Patterson curve) between Fairview Avenue and Patterson Avenues.
Officials said that previous evacuation orders remained in effect for the Glen Annie and La Patera Canyon areas, and
Evacuation warning remained for residents north of Cathedral Oaks Road between Winchester Canyon Road and Fairview Avenue.
Residents in evacuation warning areas should remain alert and prepared to leave if so ordered, officials said.
