CA-LAFD/LACO- Griffith Park - Brush Fire - 15 acres, east of Zoo

Major Brush Fire - Los Angeles Zoo* - Knocked down at 15 acres
*FINAL UPDATE: Griffith Park, Travel Town Area* Knockdown 1533 Hrs., 200 Firefighters just under 3 hours to contain fire to 15 acres of heavy brush. No injuries. No structures damaged. - Ron Myers LAFD ###
LOCATION: @0:42 PM - Los Angeles Zoo, Griffith Park, Los Angeles, CA - Travel Town Area; MAP 563-H4; FS 76
IA: Reported brush only. No Fire Companies on scene yet. Reporting small column of smoke in area.
SIZEUP: First company on scene reporting 1-2 acres near Toyon helispot, east of zoo. Still making access into area off Zoo Dr.
I.C. Requesting 10 more engine companies, aircraft response.
