Major problems and concerns: Current efforts are focused on stopping the fire spread north, east and south along the Sacramento Valley front. This will keep the fire out of CAL FIRE protection area, developments and higher valued resources, and allow us to focus efforts on the western perimeter of the fire within the Thomes Creek drainage. Access is limited in the drainage and will require a longer term deployment of resources within a larger confined area using limited topographic points to focus suppression efforts.
