CA-BTU- Ophir Incident - Wildland fire - 1600+ acres 10%

Update 20:05: 50% contained - 1,600 acres
Update 16:35:The Ophir Incident, CA-BTU is now approximately 2,000 acres with 10 percent containment. Bob Wallen's Type 1 Team has been activated. Winds of 25-40 mph from the northwest are causing perimeter control problems.
Update 15:00: Evacuations now occurring along Lone Tree Road, Power House Hill Road, Palermo Road and Occidental Ave.
per Ophir AA numerous spot fires starting to get established to the South East of main fire. Update o9:30: Two small fires were reported in the Magalia area this morning. Upton says those blazes are contained, but causing smoke on the ridge.

Current Sizeup: Rapid ROS, Immediate Multiple Structure threats- Search and Rescue dispatched, starting evacuations.
Residence off Lone Tree fully involved, with explosions,
fire has jumped Occidental, just N of Palermo, Involved residence is at Teresa x Prince. Personnel hazards due to propane tanks and fire close to evacuation efforts..

13:00 - BTU has a full response responding to a vegetation fire with multiple structures threatened. Additional resources area being ordered (Engine ST's, Dozers, copters, etc) and air tankers have been ordered immediate need for the structure threat.

Update from Norcalfire group: Apparently one copter's bucket burned up..? Waiting on tender to replace it. Current airshow 2 tankers, 2 copters, 2 copters on order.
Animal disaster rescue people on call at this time to report to IC.
Per CHP CAD site; Ophir basically closed.
Sheriff Unit 51 stuck in field off Horny Toad Road, but fire went around
safely.
All resources have been released from the Shippee incident.
