Honey Bee Wildland fire - WUF
Update: Honey Bee Fire - (CA-INF-282),Wildland Fire -
1,150 acres and is 0% percent contained
Acreage break out:
1100 acres on INF, 50 acres on SQF.
The Fire has crossed the Kern River , both forests are working together to manage incident.
Operations: The Sequoia National Forest deployed the Fulton Hotshots and Springville (Type 2 IA crew) into the Kern drainage to keep the fire spread from moving further south. The Inyo has checked fire spread along the crest to prevent fire from running down towards Highway 395.
Air Quality: The respective forests are working with the local communities affected by this incident as well as the Air Quality Management districts.
Resources: The forests do not anticipate a need for additional resources at this time. Crews were flown in to take action on south and east portions.
