CA-TUU-Rocky - Grass fire - 200 acres 100 %

Rocky (CA-TUU-000176) Fire was located near Rocky Hill Dr / Yokohl, Exeter in Tulare County . Fire burned 200 acres of short grass and is 100 % percent contained.

Aircraft returning from a fire in BEU slowed the fire spread enough for ground forces to make an aggressive attack on the flanks of the fire. well positioned engines on the back side of the fire extinguished spot fires before they could become well established and burn into 3000 acres of rangeland. Mop-up, patrol, and line improvement will continue through the night and day shift will continue with patrol and mop-up through the heat of the day.
